(1981)
Libretto: Don Moreland
opera in three acts

First Performance: Tri-Cities Opera, Binghamton, NY Jan. 18, 1986

In 1928 New York an American stockbroker and a Latin American diplomat, best friends, are each seeing the other's wife. In token to the diplomat's recall to his native land, each man buys a chinchilla coat for his lover and for his wife. The misdelivery of the coats, each with attached love note, explodes the intrigue in this jazzy romp.
