Rina and the founders
of the Rossetti String Quartet made music together years ago in New York
and elsewhere before going their separate ways. Then quite by accident
not too long ago, Rina bumped into her old friends and discovered they
had all become residents of Los Angeles. So, what do friends who were
to music born do when they rediscover one another? They decide to
make music together again! And so, the Rossetti Piano Quartet came
to be.
The new QUARTET made their debut in Los Angeles on June 3, 2007 at the
University Synagogue in Brentwood, under the auspices of the Music
Guild, the oldest continuing presenter of chamber music concerts
in LA. They performed a program that only a group of extraordinary
talent, musicianship, dynamism, and endurance would dare put together:
Beethoven: Piano Quartet in E Flat Major, Op. 16
Dvorák: Piano Quartet in E Flat Major, Op. 87
Brahms: Piano Quartet in G Minor, Op. 25
and they brought the synagogue down!
