The Queen's Jubilee Gala:
LIVE FROM BUCKINGHAM PALACE

Don't miss this musical spectacular celebrating the 50th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's ascension to the throne of England, to be broadcast by satellite live from Buckingham Palace. There'll be 2 hours of music worthy of the most famous queen in the world.

Guest performing artists include: cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, and opera's young "golden couple" Angela Georghiu and Roberto Alagna. Sir Andrew Davis conducts the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

If you're in the New York City area, tune in to Thirteen/WNET on July 1, 2002 at 10 pm. If you're elsewhere, check your PBS station for local listing.
