Three Mo' Tenors hit their high C's and let the good times roll!
In a program of opera (how about La donna è mobile, Nessun Dorma, and Ah! Mes Amis... Pour Mon Ame?), Broadway, jazz, blues, soul, spirituals and gospel recorded during a live performance at New York's

Rodrick Dixon - Thomas Young - Victor Trent Cook
Hammerstein Ballroom, the "Three Mo' Tenors" display unrivalled versatility as they slide in and out of seven diverse musical genres withou missing a beat. The concert was the idea of Broadway director Marion J. Caffey and the inspiration to stage a show that would pay tribute to the unique art of African-American operatic tenors came while listening to the original Three Tenors. It was an idea that worked. And on August 6, 2001 Public Television viewers nationwide saw why: here are three classically trained operatic singers who can sing the blues, gospel and Duke Ellington with as much soul and convincingness as they can sing the arias of Verdi and Puccini. What's more they have a ball doing it. Their tenor voices serve all genres well; factor in the excellent showmanship, and television viewers are sure to have a delightfully entertaining musical evening just as the audience at the staged performance clearly did.

Bill Cosel directed the program for televison (Marion Caffrey directed for stage), with musical direction is by Joseph Joubert. Other performers include The Gospel Ensember and the Broadway Inspirational Voices. Click HERE for program.
