BECAUSE YOU'RE MINE
(1952): The title song became a hit. Lanza also sang Granada as well as a few arias. The movie played to mixed reviews but was chosen for a Command Performance before Queen Elizabeth.

THE STUDENT PRINCE
(1953): Mario Lanza was to play the lead role but personal and legal disputes between Lanza and MGM led to a lawsuit and Lanza's firing. The role went to Edmund Purdom who lip-synched to Lanza's singing voice.

SERENADE
(1956): Produced by Warner Brothers, this movie featured another MET star Licia Albanese who sang Desdemona to Lanza's Otello.

THE SEVEN HILLS OF ROME
(1957): Lanza made this movie when he left Hollywood to live in Italy. MGM agreed to finance and distribute the movie, which was well-received by the public.

FOR THE FIRST TIME
(1959): Mario Lanza recorded the music for this movie at the Rome Opera House with the Rome Opera Orchestra. ZsaZsa Gabor was the leading lady.
