native of Graz (Austria), Ms. Behle is today making a name for herself as
a dramatic soprano. She studied history and philosophy at the University
of Graz and voice at the Music Academy. She gained much of her early professional
experience as a member of the Hanover Opera which in
1987 honored her with the title
of Kammersängerin . Among the roles she has sung with great success
are: Leonore in Fidelio, Wagner's Senta, Isolde, Sieglinde and Brünnhilde
(in Siegfried), Strauss' Salome, Chrysothemis, Ariadne, and the Dyer's
Wife.
She
ushers in the millennium with performances of these roles at some of the
world's great opera houses. Ms. Behle has recorded Zemlinksy's Der Kreiderkreis with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin, and Ludwig Spohr's Jessonda with the Hamburg Philharmnic Staatsorchester. She has lived in her adopted hometown of Hamburg for the last 15 years. |
