DECADE 9/11 PROGRAMMING on NPR RADIO:

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

Arizona Public Media (Tuscon, AZ)
In addition to NPR programming airing on KUAZ, Arizona Public Media is sponsoring the Remembrance and Renewal Concert and hosting a web page where people can share their experiences.

Classical 24
Throughout the day, the program will feature contemplative pieces, with an hour dedicated to the memorial at 8 a.m., the hour when the attacks occurred.

Composers Datebook
The show will air a 9/11-themed broadcast, highlighting "An American Requiem" by composer Richard Danielpour.

KBYU (Provo, UT)
The station has partnered with the United Way of Utah County's Day of Caring to highlight the efforts of local volunteer groups who will be providing service at nonprofit organizations in the area.

Pipedreams
The program will feature two hours of music dedicated to the 9/11 anniversary.

Texas Public Radio (KSTX, KPAC AND KTXI)
TPR commemorates the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a day of reflection and remembrance. Tune in to KSTX, KPAC and KTXI for a series of special programs, including StoryCorps and the Sonic Memorial Project, and analysis from NPR news.

WAMU (Washington, DC)
- 6 a.m. - Latitudes Afghanistan Special will feature voices and sounds of Afghanistan.

- 11 a.m. - The Kojo Nnamdi Show will take an in-depth look at security issues prior to and after 9/11.

- 12 p.m. - Couscous and Cultural Diplomacy focuses it's 9/11 coverage on the efforts and struggles of an openly gay Algerian man and his partner as they create an Algerian-American restaurant on Main Street in Elkader, Iowa, a town named after the Algerian jihadist and anti-colonialism fighter Abd al-Qader in 1846.

- 12:30 p.m. - A Shortcut Back to 9/11 features music mixed with sounds from the street, eyewitness news reports and actualities from September 11, 2001.

- 4 p.m. - Interfaith Voices offers a compassionate look at strengthening relationships between Christians and Muslims.

WDET (Detroit, MI)
The station will continue its weekend of original programming with a 9-11 a.m. event: How 9/11 Shaped Our Voices. Craig Fahle moderates this conversation about how the challenges of 9/11 shaped individuals' personal journeys. Throughout the weekend, WDET shows will devote coverage to the anniversary, and on Sunday, the station with air a mixture of NPR programming, live coverage and WDET original features.

WFIU (Bloomington, IN)
Vice Chair of the 9/11 Commission and Former Representative Lee Hamilton (D-IN) will lead a discussion among many of the commission's members around their 2004 report and their reflection on that time ten years later. The conversation will stream in a live radio broadcast.

WNYC (New York, NY)
- 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Live coverage of the World Trade Center Ceremony

- 9 a.m. - The Brian Lehrer Show special will provide New Yorkers with an opportunity to share and reflect on the anniversary

- 12 p.m. - Measuring Time will give listeners the chance to submit their musical selections to commemorate the day

- 1 p.m. - The Selected Shorts 9/11 Anniversary Special will feature a reading of Colson Whitehead's "Lost and Found" essay by Alec Baldwin and a reading of Haruki Murakami's "U.F.O. in Kushiro" by Ken Leung.

- 4 p.m. - Living Nine Eleven reporter Marianne McCune will walk listeners through 10 years of stories from people who were directly impacted by what happened in September 2001 and have been working to make sense of it since then.

- 6 p.m. - Music of Reflection and Resilience: The Cathedral Choir of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, a broadcast of the performance lead by Kent Tritle, will feature a capella works by Bach, Mendelssohn and Tallis as well as The Best Beloved by Chris Deblasio.
